Rats in the Storage Unit

We had a minor set-back at the storage unit. They had rats! Damage is minimal: we lost one motionette and we'll have to clean up 4 others that got yucky. The droppings are everywhere, so at first we thought it was much worse than it turned out to be.

Sequencing

I've began programming the music sequences for the '07 display! It's going to take about 3-5 hours per minute of synchronization. Now you know why I'm starting in June!

Deocrating Workshop

It's official! We're hosting a Christmas decorating workshop. Here's the 2007 Florida Mini-PLUS website.

Christmas Decoration Workshop

Fellow Christmas Enthusiasts: I think we're having a "Christmas Decoration Workshop" of sorts at my house this October. I'm an active member of the Planet Christmas Forum, and a bunch of us Florida members want to get together and share ideas, brag, drink, and eat! Please contact me if you would be interested.

North Poles

New project...North Poles. A couple fellow enthusiasts over at Planet Christmas have inspired me to build some north poles. What's a north pole? It's what it sounds like. I'll be posting photos and a How To very soon.

Toys For Tots

Decided to collect toys for Toys For Tots this year.

Stuff for 2007 Display

May 11 2007 - Yes, I'm always looking for stuff to use in our annual Christmas Display. Most recently, I found some miniature trinkets at our local Michael's in the Easter section. I got some mini bails of hay that will go nicely in the village. I also got some mini flower pots that will look nice next to the village greenhouse. A few months ago, John bought a few Annalee Elves from the internet. These little guys are adorable!

Still cleaning up

Besides the glitter that we'll never be rid of, I keep finding pieces of the display that somehow never got put away.
Christmas DVDs that play in loops
Santa stove burner covers
A candy cane candle

The storage unit we rented for Christmas stuff is so full, not even another roll of wrapping paper will fit into it (no exaggeration).

After Christmas Sales Dec 26 2006

Here we are in the dining room at about 1pm. We

We raced from Stuar to Vero in search of the giant nutcrackers. We woke up at 5:30 am to get to the sales when the stores opened. It was soooo much fun!
